Poppy – poppy families annual grassy plant. This is 60-120 cm high medicinal plant. Leaves there large serrated edges hoop the stem. Flowers are different colours: red, white, violet and others. Growth – the box filled sedds, can be grey and black.
The plant lained alot of milklines from where flow quickly viscous juice. Cutted unriped poppy cap, juice flows and quickly stagnate – this is opium whereof is maked medicament or it is used as medicament (now only istorical medicament) or drug.
Poppy blossom in july month and seeds ripe in august. Later dried poppy flowerleaves were used as pharmacy raw, also as natural tea and wine colour.
Dried poppy seeds are used in confectionary, bread industry.
