Pearl barley – this is polish barleys nucleus or their parts, in witch surface is keeped seed – coat. In polish process barley gets round or oval form and smoofe surface. Pearl barleys are various size. One of them are big, oval, white or a bit yellowish, other – smaller, round, white with dark strips.
Pearly barley 100g gives 335 kcal energy. They contains (in 100g) 75,2 g carbohydrate, from them – 67,5g starch. Little protein amount 9,8 g. There are such minerals (in 100 g product): natrium 15 mg, magnium 81 mg, phosphorus 243 mg, kalium 237 mg, calcium 27 mg.
