Flax – annual grassy 60-150cm high fibrous plant. Flax seeds picked when become boxes brownish and seeds are fully ripen, it is in august – september months and seeds are dried. Flax seeds are small and flatten, till 5 mm lenght, eggs form, with yellowish brouwn bright surface, mucous fats taste. One seed tip is round and other - sharp. Flax seeds contains 12% mucus, 32-47% fat oil, till 30% protein substances, organic acids, glicoside linamarine (it is toxic), minerals substances.Oil contains from polyunsaturated acids (linole, linolene and oleine), palmitine and stearine acids.Flax oil – valuable food product, because it contains a lot of polyunsatureted acids. Flax preparations is known as light loosen, antiphlogistic and analgesic medicaments. Flax seeds are used in confectionary, gastronomy and bread industry.
