Starch is complex carbohydrate, polysaccharide, composed from less 10 saccharide molecules. Physical form is not solube in cold water, white powder. Starch usually is maked from potatoes. They granulated, pre-washed with the water and pumped into big tanks, where starch steady. Such starch one’s more pre-wached with the water, leaved to steady and dry with warm air steam.
Starch is used in glue, paper and textile industry. Alimentary industry used for sauces and thick drinks evaporation. Usually is used potatoes starch in Lithuania. Also starch used to find iodine in liquids – amylase react with iodine and such complex reflect blue light spectrum part.
